Our Mission

The primary mission at the National Museum of World War II Aviation is education.  The museum’s highly successful K-12 STEM program reaches beyond the walls of the museum and into the classroom where teachers are given the resources they need to convey STEM concepts within the historical context of World War II.

The effectiveness of this unique approach to STEM education is well documented, and the reactions from both students and teachers alike have been overwhelmingly positive.  Program results and feedback are carefully tracked throughout the year, and are documented in an annual report that is available through the museum. This highly successful program served more than 3600 students last year at no cost to students or their schools, and is projected to expand rapidly in the coming years.
