This Steampunk sculpture incorporates the past and the present by juxtaposing modern and semi modern found objects into the design to form a science fictional portrait of an aviator. The aviator cap is an actual WWII leather cap worn by pilots as is the headset.  The final aviator was then mounted on a solid aluminum base that in its simplicity compliments the aviator Steampunk sculpture.

Steampunk refers to a subgenre of science fiction and fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic
designs inspired by
19th-century industrial steam-
powered machinery.

Steampunk is a subgenre of
speculative fiction, usually set in an Victorian or quasi-Victorian alternate history setting. The term “Steampunk” originated in the late 1980s from science fiction author
K. W. Jeter who described steampunk by the slogan “What the past would look like if the future had happened sooner.” Steampunk includes fiction with science, fairytale and fantasy themes.

It’s all about mixing old and new: fusing the usability of modern
technology with the design aesthetic and philosophy of the Victorian age.

Welcome to the mysterious
